Special Economic Zone

Special Economic Zones (SEZs), established under the Special Economic Zones Act (2012), aim to boost industrial growth, attract local and foreign investment, promote exports, and create jobs. Provinces can develop SEZs with approval from the Federal SEZ Authority, ensuring streamlined development and economic benefits

SEZ Offers. Lucrative fiscal. Benefits to the industrialists which includes:

  • Onetime exemption on all custom duties and taxes on import of capital goods.
  • 10 years income tax exemption.

Government has granted the Special Economic Zones status to the three Industrial Estate under FIEDMC, which are M-3 Industrial City (M-3 IC), Allama Iqbal Industrial City (AIIC), Value Addition City (VAC).
